File#002 :action | video:
[Not long after this post from the Malnosso's new therapist, there is a huge racket going on at the Welcome Center. His rage at the thought of being taken to therapy and his instability in Luceti has gone over the edge and Walter is screaming and throwing chairs and bed mattresses, lamps and anything else he can get his hands on. The tirade is caught on video as he throws his journal across the room, smashing it into the wall and jolting it on. It shows him upside down.]
I will not go! They can't make me!
Peter! Peter!! [He picks up a glass and smashes it against the far wall.]
Disgusting, dirty, everything is contaminated with their evil! They're watching our every move! Everything we do! Our entire lives - our privacy, our names!
Damn vipers among our ranks and we can't even ferret them out?!
I won't go! I will NOT be taken again!! Peter! You can't let them take me again!
[He grabs a lamp and smashes it against the floor repeatedly.]
I'll find how you watch us and I'll destroy it! I'll find it and destroy it!!!
I will not go! They can't make me!

Re: [Action]
I assure you that there are no.. devices hidden in the appliances. You require medical attention now.
[The Vulcan was being very serious.]
[Action]
No. No, it is here. There has to be some way they are listening to us - a way of monitoring us beyond that of the communication devices.
[He curls his hands into fists and thumps them against his white pants.]
I can't-- I know it has to be here somewhere!
Re: [Action]
I need you to explain to me rationally how you came to that conclusion... and why you believing harming yourself in the process was logical.
[Action]
[He motions wildly to the things around him.]
Think, man! Or can you not do that?! They monitor everything we do, including that which we don't put on the network they provide. Any and all information being passed through this village is being funnelled straight to them.
They know our names, our locations, they know our worlds and-- [He scratches at the back of his neck.] -- These blasted barcodes are a part of it, but I can't remove it! Beyond the barcode there must be something they are using to track us. There must be!
Re: [Action]
Though I have not yet given up hope, I would hardly call this... [Spock gestures to the mess around them.] ...productive behaviour.
[Action]
I will not be held prisoner to some therapist's whims! Never again! Why do people not see how evil she is?!
[He kicks a deflated pillow out of the way and snarls.]
This place is lacking in even the most basic of laboratory equipment. I need a lab and then I can start working!
Re: [Action]
[Spock lifts his hands in a universal sign of surrender.]
The barrier is made up of an organic carbon and a material that has yet to be discovered. The energy it produces however seems to be connected directly to this planet...
...and it has been hypothesized that its existence is the result of the planet itself. Studies have been made, relentlessly, and they continue. Everyday someone tries fruitlessly and tirelessly to test its strength or to gain insight using any and all available tools.
Do not think for one moment that you are the only one here who is eager to escape.
[Spock drops his hands and glares in a way only Vulcans can.]
Now, if you are quite done damaging the area and your person, perhaps I can assist you with your hands, and we can calmly discuss the various theories and experiments that have been conducted on the barrier.
Then, if I see improvement in your emotional control, then perhaps I will allow you to utilize my lab.
[Action]
He turns and looks at the man for once, really looking at him.]
You have a lab? Where? How did you get it? I need one.
Re: [Action]
[Spock was a patient guy, he could stand here all day if he had to.]
[Action]
Emotional stability!
[He turns sharply and waves his arms in frustration.]
How can I be stable when my world is falling apart and Peter is missing?! That machine waiting for him?! And now these scoundrels looking to lock us up into mental institutions?!
Re: [Action]
[It sounds like there are things that just haven't been answered for the man. Spock could try to be empathetic, but that's just not his shtick.]
Re: [Action]
[He says it like it should be common knowledge, kneeling down to turn over a chair back to its original position. He punched the seat bottom out already, so there's no real reason to keep it lying on the floor.]
He--
[He stops and looks at the chair and the bloody lines across it as if realizing something.]
.....Oh. ...Oh, that's right. He's not here. He's-- None of them are here, are they. I get-- confused, sometimes. It's just that normally I'm...
...
Normally I'm never alone.
Re: [Action]
Ah yes, the Vulcan is piecing it together now.
Gingerly stepping toward the man, the Vulcan holds out his hand in traditional Terran greeting.]
I am Spock. Please allow me to assist you.
[Elders were well respected on Vulcan. Now that he thinks he knows what's wrong, he would do his best to make certain that this man is okay.]
Re: [Action]
He turns and looks at the man. Distinctive haircut, pointed ears, slightly greenish complexion beneath the skin.]
Oh.
[Instead of taking his hand, Walter holds his hand up in the traditional Vulcan greeting.]
Greetings. I am Doctor Walter Bishop.
[He leans in a little.]
Just to be clear. ...You are real, yes?
Re: [Action]
This wasn't the first time this has happened.]
It is well to make your acquaintance Doctor Bishop, and I can assure you, I am very real.
[Which implies that in Walter's universe... Spock's fictional.]
Can I safely surmise that you have questions? I will answer whatever I can.
[Action]
[Walter lowers his hand.]
I only have one question: where is your lab?
Re: [Action]
[Spock's brows furrow...]
What is your experience in a lab, if I might ask?
[Action]
Re: [Action]
Of course. Please, allow me to show you to my lab. However... may I first tend to your hands?
[Spock pointedly looks at Walter's hands... you're bleeding dude.]
Re: [Action]
[He forgot about that. He looks down at his hands.]
I forgot, yes. I should do something about this.
Re: [Action]
[He grabs a small first aid kit (every building like this has one of course, right?), and leads them into the bathroom.
Spock wishes he had gloves right now... Ka'adith.]
Please hold out your hands.
Do you often succumb to throwing furniture around?
[Action]
Only when necessary.
...It happens rarely.
Re: [Action]
I am having difficulty imagining when it would be a necessary occurrence, however I am pleased to know that you do not do it often.
While I tend to your hand, perhaps you could tell me what tests you would like to run in my lab? [Spock would have to get other supplies depending on what Walter wanted to do.]
[Action]
[He is quietly pleased that he can say that.]
First, scans of all electronics to see if anything is being bugged. Second, a spectrometer to analyse the composition of our wings. Scalpels and a microscope to see about this barcode. Somehow these are also linked to our monitoring.
Re: [Action]
And what if all of this has already been done? What then?
