Yes, hello! Anyone of you, I've noticed these peculiar displacements all over the village as I'm sure you all have. It started out small enough, but the frequency of them is beginning to become alarming. An isolated incident or two, I can overlook, but this many? If only I had my lab, I could better measure this phenomenon...

Oh, yes! Data! I need data. Any occurrences you've witnessed, how long, the nature of the displacement, anything else you can remember about the event. Report here.

The trees were the only thing that were unusual, and not all of them. As far as I could tell, everything else seemed as normal as it could be.

[Petra's observant, but she's not the best at putting all the pieces together. Really, all she wants is just a bit of normalcy following that draft.]

What do you mean "not all of them"? Were those that changed clustered in groups? One group? More than one? Did any of them have unchanged trees peppered among their midst?

We must have accurate and detailed observations in order to map the effects.

They were clustered together for the most part, but a couple were mixed in with the normal trees. There wasn't much in between.

Mixed... No, no no no! That isn't good. There's no pattern at all to this!

Did you notice anything odd about each occurrence, separate from the change itself? A distortion in the air? A buzzing? Anything?

No, nothing caught my attention. I don't know when exactly my food went bad, only that it happened sometime between picking it out and arriving at the apartment.

Did it rot permanently or did it change back later?

I threw away the food and haven't been back to that part of the forest, so I don't know off hand. Everything else seems to have gone back to normal, so I guess it probably did, unless something else happened to it between the changes.

The next time such a change happens, I want you to call me immediately. We need to observe these distortions as they happen. I have far too many accounts of things happening, without any data regarding the event.
