We - September and I - made a machine to help the village with your brother's help. It's really quite ingenious, if I say so myself.

A barrier. We devised a way to block people's energy signatures, effectively keeping them out of areas.

That's what I thought! Only this one is attuned to only one person, allowing all others to pass through freely. It's even more impressive considering we made it from practically nothing.

Oh heavens no. I may disllke him, but that doesn't mean I'll willfully cause harm.

It merely acts like a wall - a slightly electric wall, if that. As long as he doesn't go trying to eat it, he should be fine. I'm a scientist, not a barbarian.

I would not put it past him to attempt to bite his way through if pressed. But- good. Once 'round the bend is more than enough.

Birds are phenomenally stupid at times.

Owl isn't a good meal at all. They're all feathers. Their bone structure, however, is fascinating to study.

There did seem to be quite a bit of power to his wings. What might you tell me of those?

It would depend on the type of owl he is, technically, however, their serrated wing feathers and downy under feathers break up wind resistance and allow for near silent flight - a feature unique to their species. They're generally large for their body as well, to allow for greater distance gliding to reduce the necessity for flapping and thus give them a further edge on their prey.

For all that it was not much of a challenge he was quite agile in flight for something so large.

Yes, that is a defining characteristic of owls in flight. They're quite graceful. Normally I like owls - this one, however, is insufferable.
