I am not crazy! I hear myself perfectly well, but it seems no one else in this enclosure does! And the only ones who did are gone now - taken! I couldn't do a thing to stop it, but I'm trying to now and everyone tells me to stop?!

[He looks at Spock, rage brimming over into heartbreak.]

Why should I stop when it could prevent heartbreak? Help the people of the enclosure? How do you know my theory is wrong? Have you tried it?
