Because you are...not a human?

No, it isn't. Some people will say family is the people you're born with. But that isn't true. Not every family is related by blood.

Sometimes, it's the non...biological family that really matters. Choosing who to spend your life with is often more important.

No. We do not reproduce the way humanity once did and we do not love.

No? Then, can I ask you how you reproduce, if not the way humans do?

All of us will donate genetic material at some point in our lives, and when it is necessary to increase the population, it will be mixed and grown into an individual through machinery.

Like...cloning? Is that the right word for it?

It would be defined as cloning if there were no genetic mixing.

And you have no...attachment...to the people who donate your genetics?

It has never crossed my mind.

But do you have friends, at least?

I can admit I have... certain people who I will protect.

It is not the same. I do not desire to interact with him as strongly as a... family.

Maybe that will change with time. My...blood relatives...and I are not close. And it took time for me to warm up to my family.
