[Most of that went well over Remy's head, but didn't bother him. It wasn't his field of expertise. Now if they were talking about how to crack open a Brown Safe Monumental round vault door, give him five and a half minutes, on a bad day.
Remy will leave the science to Walter.]
Wouldn't know, was adopted. 'nd I came to talk to ya 'bout what comes with the eyes.
[Then it was possible the mutation was genetic, passed through the family line, but unlikely. He'd seen those with genetic mutations and they tended to stick together to an almost alarming degree. Like Edina. But there was no hum. What song did he sing?
Walter turned away and closed his eyes, bouncing his hand along to the memory of the old rhythm.]
Hard artichokes ra~rely keep... Norwegian elephants, Singapore sleep.
[Yes, that was it. Genetic mutations passed through the family. Something else came with it - that's what Remy was saying. Walter swiveled his head to the side, curious now.]
What else is there? I'll need a thorough explanation.
[This guy seemed short a few sticks in his bundle, but Remy did also remember earlier on in his arrival in Luceti this was the man who had lost his drug laced sugar cubes. Maybe he had just blitzed his brain.]
Kinetic chargin', make things go boom basically. Not overly sure how it works at a base level, just need to be in physical contact with it to make it do so.
Lets save ya items, hein? No point wastin' them when I got my normal ammunition on me. [Remy spoke as he pushed the pencil back into Walter's hands. Not that they didn't make good back up items, easy to get them to stick into a target.
Slipping a single card out of the deck he kept in one of his jean pockets, Remy glanced around the room to find a safe place for the explosion. No point damaging the man's apartment. He would just have to do what he normally did when he was bored and charging cards for the hell of it; throw it out of the window.
A spark of powers from his fingertips and the card flared up into its normal orangey-pink charge, Remy holding it towards Walter while still being mindful the limited fuse it had on it.]
[Oh. He looked a little crestfallen at not being able to see a pencil explode, but when Remy took out his cards, his interest spiked again and he quickly forgot the pencil in favor of watching what the man was doing.
As the card sudden flared into light, Walter clapped excitedly. He wanted to reach for it, but things like this tended to explode and he didn't want to lose a hand when he had many experiments still to do. Instead, he began babbling to himself, dictating notes to himself.]
The card is infused with light? No, energy? Energy, a transference of energy via physical contact.
Can you only charge with your hands? Fingers? Only one hand? Or both?
[Before Remy gave any answer, he strode across the room, forced open a window and flung the card away from the building in time for it to explode far enough away to not damage the structure.]
'ny physical contact... skin contact 'least. Don't think I can do it through my teeth or hair or 'nything like that. Just got to direct it to that part of mon body.
[Time to get more serious on that matter truly at hand.] Here be the thing Monsieur Bishop. Years 'go I had surgery to have my mutant powers suppressed. Considerin' we could be called to arms at 'nytime here, I be wantin' to know if can reverse that.
[Walter followed after, trying to see what happened when the card could no longer contain the energy infused within it. It exploded some distance from the window and the scientist rejoiced at what this meant for human evolution. It was as he suspected that people weren't yet at the end of their evolutionary path! And the next step? Was awesome.
Turning to Remy, he wondered if he could test the man's abilities. See if the teeth or hair could do the same thing. But he started getting to the main topic and Walter quieted.]
Surgery can often be reversed, but it would depend on the procedure undertaken. Pharmacological suppression versus physical removal, for example. One cannot replace what was taken out years ago without chance of rejection or degeneration of the removed part. What was done to you?
Honestly got no idea. Put under the knife, had my head cut open, woke up with a hell of a lot more control than was I started with.
I realize this ain't 'n easy solution, just wanna know if I manage to find the notes on what happened to me that ya be willin' to 'least look 'nd see if ya can reverse it. [And that was a big If. Remy hoped since AU!Xavier's papers had made it to this world than maybe Sinister's journals would. And if they did, he was going to have to get to them before anyone else. Couldn't be trusted in the wrong hands.
This however was all assuming Walter was the right hands.]
Have ya done such work 'fore? Work on those with powers?

Can I see?
[Walter turned away and grabbed the first thing he could find, a yellow 2B pencil, and shoved it toward Remy.]
Please?
